Real Smile Providing Porcelain Veneers to Miami

Veneers are a popular option for people with stained, crooked or oddly shaped teeth. Dr. Nassery at Real Smile Dental Spa is a leading provider for dental veneers in Miami Beach and has earned a reputation for helping people improve their smiles.

Porcelain veneers are placed on the surface of specific teeth, making them the ideal treatment for a range of cosmetic issues. Patients tend to prefer porcelain veneers because they easily mask undesirable defects and damage — for example, staining caused by tetracycline, damage resulting from root canals or other surgery, chipped teeth or naturally occurring gaps. And because of how they are attached, they easily mask discoloration and fillings.

Simple, painless and effective. It’s the reason people seeking dental veneers in Miami Beach trust Real Smile Dental Spa.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

They are so common that you’ve probably seen them and didn’t even realize it. Veneers are tooth coverings made of thinly sliced porcelain or plastic, adhered directly to the tooth with dental cement. They are easily attached to crooked, misshapen or discolored teeth, making them an ideal option for improving appearance.

Veneers are versatile and last longer than other treatments, and the material itself is better at resisting stains from coffee, tea or smoking than your natural tooth enamel.

As a leading provider of dental veneers in Miami Beach, Real Smile Dental Spa makes it simple. We use minimal anesthesia and offer a range of options. However, please be advised that veneers are permanent, because in order to adhere them, a small amount of tooth enamel must be removed.

Where to Begin

Consult with us about your dental needs, why you prefer veneers and which options you like. Think of it as a three-step process. Your first appointment with us will use that information to diagnose the problem and plan the best treatment going forward. During the second visit, we will prepare you for the procedure. And on your third visit, we complete the process by bonding the veneers.

What to Expect

The tooth preparation phase is typically about two or three hours long, during which our team will lightly buff your teeth so that the veneers can fit properly — about half a millimeter is removed. Any discomfort is minimal, although some patients require light local anesthesia. We then take a mold of your teeth so that the veneers can be created.

The next visit lasts about the same amount of time, during which the veneers are adhered to the teeth using glycerine or water. Before they are cemented, our specialists ensure that they fit properly and are the right color. During the cementing stage, your teeth will be cleaned with chemicals that complete the bond, with the cementing catalyst being released with a light or laser.

Once the veneers are bonded, expect about a two-week adjustment period, during which the teeth might change noticeably in shape and size (this is normal). Proper dental care, including regular brushing and flossing, is crucial during this stage. Once the two weeks are up, you will return to our office for a follow-up exam.
